Supporting families through
pregnancy, birth, and beyond

The word “doula” comes from the ancient Greek meaning “a woman who serves” and is now used to refer to a trained and experienced professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to the mother before, during and just after birth; or who provides emotional and practical support during the postpartum period.

For my Hypnobabies couples, I serve you as a Hypno-Doula with my extensive knowledge of Hypnobabies language, cues, Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis tools, and techniques for an easier, more comfortable childbirth experience.

Studies have shown that when doulas attend birth, labors are shorter with fewer complications, babies are healthier, and they breastfeed more easily.

What You Can Expect

Prenatal Support

Available to you by phone, email, and in-person support throughout your pregnancy. This includes providing your evidenced-based information and resources, working with you to create your birth preferences, tools to encourage baby's position for birth, and overall holding space and being there for you every step of the way.

Birth Time

On call for you starting at 37 weeks and will be with you throughout your entire birthing time. During your birthing time, I will be there to support you and your partner in whatever way you both may need. This may include assisting in birth positions, providing comfort measures, and being a calm and encouraging presence.

Postpartum

Your postpartum support begins immediately after birth. I will remain with you and your birth partner for 1-2 hours after birth, as well as plan to meet with you a few weeks after your birth. Many of my mamas stay in touch through phone calls, texts, social, and even in-person meetups with myself and other moms.

It would be my honor to be on your birth team

How does a Doula help my partner?

A Doula supports you and your partner during your pregnancy and birthing time. Your partner knows you more intimately than anyone, so no one is going to be able to support you in the way that your partner will, but oftentimes partners need support too. Your partner knows you the best and a Doula knows birth, so with both you have a complete support system. A Doula can help encourage your partner with offering suggestions and recommendations for how to better support you. A Doula also is an extra set of hands so you are never without support. Studies show just the presence of a Doula alone can help everyone feel more at peace and supported during your birthing time.

How many clients do you take a month?

Arrow that when clicked scrolls the user slightly down the page

I typically only take 1-2 clients a month. I love to spend a lot of time with my couples and really get to know them throughout their pregnancy, so I only take a small number of clients throughout the year. I factor in all my commitments, both personal and professional, and any travel plans before taking on clients because I want to ensure my clients are fully supported.
