My name is Kassandra Swenson and I am a Certified DONA Doula and a Certified Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis Instructor. After the birth of my first child, I could not stop thinking about birth, how incredibly empowering it was, and how I wanted all women to know that birth can be different than the way it is typically portrayed.

Like many soon to be mamas, after my first positive pregnancy test, I dove head first into learning everything about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum and was incredibly blessed to have my knowledge and views of everything birth-related transformed and resulted in the empowering birth of my son, Elijah, and transition into motherhood.

I often joke when telling my birth story that I started out on my journey as natural birth curious, but after learning and completely changing my views on pregnancy and birth, I know now that birth is natural, normal, and safe.
